Acid was heavily nerfed for a new system that gives you a limited amount of time to get out before deathmode kicks in, making lower norfair much more forgiving & survivable. The hint system was wildly more helpful this time around since all of the hints worked. Plus I can't give him 4/5 immediately because I'm still recovering from the frustrating 1.0, lol. If redesign: Axeil was a challenge hack of Redesign, absolute success, immersive depth, 5/5 stars. Not too far in axeil becomes MUCH harder than the original redesign due to excessively complicated puzzles, instant-death acid in lower norfair, a complete lack of supplies due to expansions being insanely hidden or placed behind puzzles that are impossible for beginning, moderate, or even advanced players, and Tourian is no longer a straightforward hellhole, but an endless maze of a hellhole that takes 4+ hours of in-game time to start to figure out. It starts out seemingly easier with auto-walljump and automorph, but beams/missiles/weapons in general are still incredibly weak and hard to find, enemies are no different, auto-morph only works very selectively. Redesign easier? More accessible? ohh no. Super Metroid Redesign: Axeil Edition Falls completely short of its intent. When used on the trampolines, the player won't get the jump boost from the trampolines and will instead perform a Screw Attack jump like normal.I was going to rate this hack a 1, but I'm going to give it a two for effort. This can be bypassed by using a spirit with the Screw Attack Equipped skill.In Ultimate, the Screw Attack will not spawn on Spring Stadium, due to the trampolines.As a result, it is possible to hack any hitbox in the game to force opponents to do a Screw Attack. In Smash 4, the Screw Attack has a quirk of removing the character's ability to short hop while it is equipped. A very large portion of the attack from Brawl onwards is interruptible, allowing it to be cancelled into any of the character's attacks. As a result, it cannot be thrown as in Melee, but allows the user to attack as normal while it is being held it will eventually fall off, however. Brawl onwards, the Screw Attack is purple and instead of being throwable, it is instead a badge item, similar to the Franklin Badge. ![]() If characters are launched from a high percentage and get hit by a Screw Attack, they fly up very quickly while performing the Screw Attack and often cross the blast line for a Star KO. When thrown, Screw Attacks can steal KOs, since the distance the character rises after getting hit by it depends on how fast the character is getting launched.
